From playful pandas to majestic elephants, from colorful birds to fascinating reptiles, the zoo offers a captivating experience for visitors of all ages. Explore different habitats, learn about conservation efforts, and connect with the wonders of the animal kingdom. Established in 1914, Taipei Zoo has evolved from a small collection of animals to a world-class zoological institution. It's one of the largest zoos in Asia, covering over 165 hectares. The zoo is organized into various thematic areas, including the Asian Tropical Rainforest Area, the Australian Outback Area, the African Animal Area, and the Insectarium. The most popular attraction is undoubtedly the Giant Panda House, home to the adorable pandas Tuan Tuan, Yuan Yuan, and their offspring. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities at Taipei Zoo. Explore the different animal exhibits, attend educational talks and demonstrations, and take a ride on the zoo's shuttle train. The zoo also features several playgrounds and picnic areas, making it a perfect destination for families. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the Koala House, the Penguin House, and the Bird World. While the zoo itself doesn't have a specific culinary tradition, there are numerous food stalls and restaurants offering a variety of cuisines within the zoo grounds.
